Jiribam District Demand Committee's ultimatum

Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) has served an ultimatum to the Manipur government to implement the MoU signed four years ago about making Jiribam a full fledged revenue district on or before October 31.

JDDC convenor W Dinesh said the state government has been keeping mum regarding their demand even after signing the MoU on November 9, 2011.

If the state government failed to implement the MoU on or before October 31 next, the JDDC along with other organisations will hold a public meeting to chalk out the future course of stir to press for their demand.

At present Jiribam is a sub-division of Imphal East district.
