Jitendra Singh announces Rs 10 lakh for cloudburst victims

Union Minister Jitendra Singh has announced an assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the victims of cloud burst in Udhampur district.

Singh, the MP from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha constituency has made the assistance from the MP LAD fund.

Two students were killed and another was feared dead during a landslide triggered by cloudburst and flashfloods in Chakwal Morh area of Ramban district yesterday.

The bodies of the first two students were recovered while efforts are on to trace the third victim who is feared to have died in the incident.
