Jitendra Singh thanks J'khand CM for cooperation in GST

Union Minister Jitendra Singh today sent a letter to Chief Minister Raghubar Das and acknowledged the contribution made by Jharkhand government in rolling out of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

A copy of the letter by Singh said, "Such a gigantic task has been achieved with the cooperation of all the state governments as well as political parties and other stake holders."

The implementation of the GST will not only create a unified national market but also prevent the cascading of taxes, boost manufacturing activities and exports, generate more employment and thus improve the overall investment climate in the country, it said.
 

The GST will be launched on July 1.
