Jowar prices firmed up by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today on stockists buying amid restricted arrivals from producing regions.
However, other grains traded in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said stockists buying supported by a rise in demand from consuming industries amid lower arrivals from producing regions mainly led to rise in jowar prices.

In the national capital, jowar yellow and white rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 1,450-1,500 and Rs 2,350-2,550 per quintal, respectively.
