Jummatul Vida, the last Friday of Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, was observed across Kashmir today with religious fervour as large gatherings of people were witnessed at mosques and shrines of the Valley.
The biggest congregation was witnessed at Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of the city where more than one lakh Muslim devotees offered the Jummatul Vida prayers, police said.
Big congregations were also witnessed at Hazratbal, Jenab Sahib Soura, Dastageer Sahib and Syed Yaqoob shrines in the city.
Similar reports of congregations were received from other districts and major towns of the Valley, police said.
