Junior engineer held for taking bribe

A junior engineer of the Uttar Pradesh power department was arrested for allegedly taking bribe from a farmer for installing a transformer, police said today.

Parmeshwar Gorai posted in Alignj division was arrested by Anti Corruption Organisation sleuths for taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 from farmer Kuldeep Singh for installing a transformer.

Police said that a case has been registered against Gorai at Kotwali Police Station and the ACO team has taken him to Lucknow.
