Justice Ansari takes oath as Patna HC judge

Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari, who was a member of the Gauhati High Court division bench that had declared the CBI unconstitutional, today took oath of office as a judge of the Patna High Court.

Justice Ansari who was recently transferred to Patna from Gauhati High Court, was administered oath of office by the Chief Justice Rekha M. Doshit.

With the addition of Justice Ansari, the number of judges in the Patna High Court has increased to 33 as against its full strength at 43.

He is the senior most judge of the Patna High Court after the Chief Justice Rekha M. Doshit.
