Justin Bieber arrested in Canada

Pop star Justin Bieber was arrested for crashing his ATV into a minivan and has been charged with dangerous driving and assault in Canada.

The 20-year-old singer, who is in his birth country with on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez, also got into a "physical altercation" with the paparazzo in the minivan, reported TMZ.

Bieber was taken into custody on Friday afternoon in Perth County, Ontario. The singer was released on a promise that he will appear in court on September 29.

It is possible that the latest arrest may further Bieber's legal woes as he is on probation for two years for throwing eggs at his LA neighbour's house. The arrest may trigger a possible violation of the probation.
 

Bieber's attorney blamed paparazzi for the accident in a rural area northeast of Stratford, saying both the stars were fully cooperating with the police investigation.
