Kanpur DM forms committee to look into Green Park work

The District administration today formed a three-member committee to look into the unfinished construction work at the Green Park cricket stadium here and has asked it for a status report on the progress by tomorrow.

Kanpur District Magistrate Sameer Verma visited the stadium along with officials of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) yesterday.

They inspected the ground, dressing room, spectators gallery and directed the concerned authorities to finish the construction as quickly as possible.

The ground officials said the state's Sports Minister will be inspecting the venue tomorrow.

UP's only international cricket stadium, Green Park hasn't hosted a India match for four years now.
