Rapper Kanye West is reportedly being sued by a composer who says the rapper used his song on one of his new tracks and was not properly compensated.

Gabor Presser, a Hungarian musician, says the last part of West's "New Slaves" track, from his 2013 album Yeezus, features one of his songs, reported TMZ.

According to legal documents, Presser claims that West reached out to him before the song was released, and asked him for permission to use it.

Presser agreed, but alleges that it was to be used under the assumption that a formal deal would be negotiated. West sent the composer a USD 10,000 advance to push the deal through quickly, but Presser says he never cashed the cheque, and is now suing for USD 2.5 million.

Representatives for the rapper and Presser are yet to comment on the report.
