Karna Chief Secy gets three months extension

Karnataka Chief Secretary Kaushik Mukherjee, who was to retire on September 30, has been given three months extension.

The Union Department of Personnel and Training today conveyed to the state government the Centre's approval to grant extension to Mukherjee effective from October 1, an official communication here said today.

The state government had on September 16 written to the central government seeking extension in service of Mukherjee.
