Karnataka reiterates opposition to NCTC

The BJP government in Karnataka today reiterated its opposition to the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in its present form.
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister R Ashoka noted that BJP-ruled states are opposed to the NCTC, as also Bihar and Tamil Nadu.
The NCTC is "an attempt to snatch the rights of the state (vis-a-vis policing powers)", he alleged.
