Kashmir incomplete without Pandits: Gul

Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Speaker Mubarak Gul today asked Kashmiri Pandits to return to the Valley saying that the Valley was incomplete without them.

The state government was making best possible efforts to ensure the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley, he said

Prime Minister's package for unemployed Migrant youth has helped many to gain jobs and return to the Valley, he told a delegation of Minority Migrant Cell who called on him here to discuss various issues related to Kashmiri Pandits.

He said that peace is essential and imperative for the sustained development of the state. Gul said no nation can develop unless there was permanent peace and tranquillity.
 

The Speaker assured the delegation that their genuine problems and developmental needs would be projected to the concerned departments on priority.

With regard to the implementation of Temple and Shrine bill, Gul said that Select Committee headed by the Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs has been constituted and it is working on it.

The Speaker asked the Kashmiri Pandits to submit their suggestions and views to the Committee for incorporating in the proposed bill.
