Kate Mara to star in 'The Martian'

Actress Kate Mara will reportedly star opposite Matt Damon in Ridley Scott's next film 'The Martian'.

It was reported earlier that Kristen Wiig and Jessica Chastain were in contention to play the leading lady.

The film follows an astronaut who is stranded on Mars and must figure out how to survive long enough to return to Earth, reported Deadline.
