KCR asks DGP to make proposal for new police commissionerate

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed state Director General of Police Anurag Sharma to prepare a proposal for creation of police commissionerate at Khammam district.

Rao took a decision in this regard after Khammam MLA P Ajay Kumar met him at his camp office here and requested him to form a police commissionerate for Khammam district, according to an official release.

Rao spoke to the DGP and directed him to prepare a proposal for creation of the new commissionerate at Khammam.

With the proposed Khammam commissionerate, Telangana will have a total of nine police commissionerates.
