Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed officials to expedite the process of forming farmers' associations which would undertake welfare activities for agriculture sector.
The associations would be involved in the scheme to provide Rs 8,000 per acre to farmers annually towards input costs, a release from the Chief Minister's office said.
The government decided to undertake a special drive next month for the proper management of land records, it said.
The modalities for formation of farmers' associations and land records have been finalised, the release added.
