Ker earns Rs 31.5 cr through 7 sandalwood auctions

Kerala government earned Rs 31.5 crore revenue through seven auctions of sandalwood in the last financial year, the state assembly was informed today.

Stating this during question hour, Forest Minister K Raju said Kerala has sandalwood forest in 1,438.22 hectares.

These were spread in Marayoor (596.51 hectares) and Kanthalloor (841.71) forest ranges in Idukki district,he said.
