Kerala governor welcomes National Lok Adalat

Kerala governor and former Chief Justice of India P Sathasivam today welcomed the National Legal Services Authority's decision to hold National Lok Adalat on December six.

Justice Sathasivam requested the general public as well as the government departments and authorities concerned to make use the opportunity to effectively resolve issues of dispute in various forums.

"This Adalat is to deal with all disputes pending before the different offices of the government and other authorities including boards, tribunals covering the areas of mutation, land tax, building tax, property tax, commercial tax, insurance and banking etc", Sathasivam said in a release here.
 

"The wide ranging scope of Adalat attempts to accelerate the resolution mechanism in redressal of disputes", he said.

"I would emphasize that the success of this attempt depends upon the involvement of all officials and the public in bringing the matters of concern before this forum", he added.
