Kerry Washington developing female cop drama

"Scandal" star Kerry Washington is reportedly producing "Patrol", a drama revolving around four female LAPD officers.

Washington, best known for her portrayal of crisis manager Olivia Pope in "Scandal", is set to executive produce the drama for ABC, reported the Entertainment Weekly.

Chitra Sampath of "Secrets and Lies" fame wrote the script, which is about four cops who attended the police academy together several years before and are now forced to reconnect to confront a long buried secret.
