An alleged kingpin of a gang of robbers who targetted trains and railway stations was arrested and an Italian-made pistol was recovered, police said today.

Acting on this information, last night a trap was laid out to nab them but the robbers opened fired on the police on being intercepted. Rocky alias Munna was arrested while his accomplices managed to escape, Tiwari added.
