Nepalese Prime Minister Sushil Koirala will leave for China on June 5 to attend the second edition of China-South Asia Exposition.

This will be Koirala's second official visit to a foreign country after India.

Koirala last week made a maiden trip to India as prime minister to attend the oath taking ceremony of Narendra Modi.

He will be a special guest in the inaugural session on June 6 of the exposition jointly organised by the Chinese Ministry of Trade and Commerce and the Yunan provincial government.

Koirala will return to Kathmandu the next day after a one-night stay at Kunming, according to the Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Dinesh Bhattarai.

Nepal has been chosen as the "country of honour" at the event where Koirala will inaugurate the Nepali pavilion and deliver a key note address.

The trade expo being organised in Kunming from June 6 to 10 is expected to boost Nepal's trade relations with China.
