Kolhan Inter College principal arrested on forgery charges

The principal of Kolhan Inter College, Chaliama, under Rajnagar block of adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district was today arrested on charges of forgery in admission during the 2012-14 session.

A joint team comprised of Harishankar Ram, District Education Officer, Ravishankar Shukla, Sub-Divisional Officer (Seraikela) and others conducted raid in the office of Kolhan Inter College in Chaliama and detected irregularities in the admission to Science, Commerce and Arts streams of 2012-14 session, Superintendent of Police, Indrajeet Mahatha said.

Besides, he said the team also recovered blank mark sheets of Jharkhand Academic Council, provisional certificates, migration certificates bearing computerised signature of the Secretary of Jharkhand Academic Council, during the raid. Some other documents were also seized
 

Rubber stamps of other colleges were also found in the college, the SP said adding irregularities were also detected in the fee register.

An FIR under section 420/467/468/471 IPC has been registered against the Principal of Kolhan Inter College, Manoj Kumar Jha and other college staff.

Based on the evidences, Mahatha said Jha has been arrested.
