		Suspended Trinamool Congress MP and Saradha scam accused Kunal Ghosh today allegedly tried to commit suicide by taking 58 sleeping pills inside the Alipore Central Jail, West Bengal Correctional Home Services Minister H A Swafi said.</div>

		ADG (Prison) Adhir Sharma said, &quot;We were informed this morning that Ghosh was feeling ill. He claimed to have consumed sleeping pills last night. This morning the doctors found his vital parameters to be okay. Still we did not want to take chances and rushed him to the hospital.&quot;</div>

		Ghosh had said in court on Monday that he would commit suicide in 72 hours if he was not granted bail and those in power were not arrested. He had also refused to meet his relatives during this time lest they tried to influence his decision.</div>

		Congress leaders alleged foul play in today&#39;s incident. &quot;How could he access so many sleeping pills from his prison cell. It seems that the access was made easy for him,&quot; they said.</div>

		Ghosh was arrested by the CBI last year. He has been named in the first chargesheet as well, along with Sudipta Sen and Debjani Mukherjee. CBI officials were likely to visit the SSKM Hospital today to take stock of Ghosh&#39;s health.</div>

		Ghosh&#39;s repeated outbursts both inside and outside the court have made matters uncomfortable for the Trinamool Congress. He had previously accused high profile TMC leaders of having benefitted from Saradha.</div>
