Kushwaha removed as SP national general secretary

Samajwadi Party today removed Ram Asrey Kushwaha from the post of national general secretary with the immediate effect.

"SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav has terminated Kushwaha from the post of national general secretary with immediate effect," a statement issued by general secretary and spokesman Ramgopal Yadav said.

Though no reason was stated behind the sudden move, it is believed that Kushwaha has been removed due to his statements in the media.

Kushwaha would remain a member of the party, sources said.
