A labourer died on-the-spot today when the cylinder in which he was filling oxygen at an oxygen refilling factory in the industrial area of Panki here exploded, police said.
Three labourers were filling oxygen in cylinders at Murari gas agency around 10 am this morning when a cylinder suddenly exploded, a police spokesman said.
The labourer filling the cylinder died on-the-spot while the other two escaped with minor injuries, he said.
The body of the 36-year-old labourer, identified as Kallu Savita, has been sent for postmortem, he said.
The factory owner is being interrogated and the statements of the other two labourers are being recorded in this connection.
