Labourer dies in Odisha

A 30-year-old labourer

died in a pit at a railway construction site near Makaput in Odisha's Koraput district after dug-up earth caved in, police said today.

The incident occured yesterday as a chunk of earth got dislodged due to construction activity and fell on two labourers, they said.

The deceased was identified as Baman Kumar, while the other labour, Pandu Kumar, was rescued, police said adding a case was registered and probe was on.
