Labourer dies while digging borewell

A labourer from West Bengal died accidentally while digging a borewell in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, police said here today.

Mujeeb Ahmad Sheikh (30) died when he came under the slide while digging a bore well in the compound of Abdul Rashid Malik of Kultoora Handwara, a police spokesman said.

He said the body of deceased was shifted to sub-district hospital Handwara for legal formalities and a case has been registered.
