Lance Naik killed in a blast in Rajasthan

Lance Naik Gunasekhar P, posted at an Army unit in Jodhpur, died in a blast, a defence official said today.

In an unfortunate incident, Lance Naik Gunasekhar P posted at a unit in Jodhpur expired on May 21. He was declared brought dead at the Military Hospital-Jodhpur after he sustained injuries in a blast, defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Ojha said.

He said an inquiry has been instituted by the Army into the incident.

There was some explosive in the barrack. A team from the forensic science laboratory has collected samples from the site, SHO of Ratanada police station, Ramesh Kumar Sharma said.
