Landmine, wires seized in raid

In a major haul, joint forces today recovered a landmine, wire and firearms at Dharampur in West Midnapore district.

The CRPF battalion and police recovered three country-made pistols, one landmine and wire jutting out from a forested stretch in the area, falling under the Jhargram sub-divisional belt.

The operations in the area were jointly undertaken by CRPF's 169 battalion and police, the DSP said.
