After a one-day boycott of court proceedings, advocates at Madras High Court today took out a rally over the Sri Lankan Tamils issue and staged a demonstration.
They demanded that India vote against the island nation in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for its alleged war crimes.
Lawyers from various legal associations took out a rally from the High Court premises to the Commissioner of Customs Office here.

They also shouted slogans demanding that the Centre vote against Sri Lanka in the US-backed resolution in the UNHRC in Geneva.
