Large quantity of liquor recovered from car

A large quantity of liquor was recovered from a car here following which a case was registered under the relevant sections of the excise act, police said.

SSP Santosh Patial said that during checking at Bhagsunag near Macleodganj in upper Dharamshala, a Swift Desire car was checked.

"We recovered a large quantity ofwhisky and beer. McDowell whisky 36 bottles, port wine 24 bottles and Madhu beer 60 bottles etc, he said.

A case was registered under the HP excise Actand the driver of the car, Vijay Kumar, was arrested, he said.
