Laura Prepon to direct 'Orange Is The New Black'

Press Trust of India  |  London

Actress Laura Prepon is stepping behind the camera to direct an upcoming episode of her hit series "Orange is the New Black."

The 36-year-old former "That '70s Show" star portrays incarcerated Alex Vause in the female prison drama, and now she is preparing to call the shots for a season five storyline.

Prepon previously made her directorial debut with her 2011 TV film "Neighbros", in which she also starred, but she admits bossing around her fellow castmates, including Taylor Schilling and Uzo Aduba, will be a rather different experience, reported Contactmusic.

"I start directing my episode of Orange in about a week and a half... Talk about a challenge! I'm really excited about it. That's something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I'm getting my shot this show," she told US breakfast show "Today."

"It's gonna be great. Everyone's so supportive, and I've directed myself before so that'll be fine... I can't wait.
