Lead down 0.4% on weak global cues, low domestic demand

Lead fell 0.37% to Rs 106.35 per kg in futures trade today after participants reduced exposure amid a weak trend overseas and sluggish domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in current month was trading 40 paise, or 0.37%, down at Rs 106.35 per kg in a business turnover of 270 lots.

Analysts said besides weak demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, weakness in base metals at the London Metal Exchange amid concerns that demand is weakening in China-the world's biggest user, weighed on lead futures here.
