Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices weakened by 0.17 per cent to Rs 120.60 per kg in futures trading today as traders reduced their holdings on the back of weak demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in far-month March shed 20 paise or 0.17 per cent at Rs 120.60 per kg in business turnover of 31 lots.

Also, the metal for delivery in February contracts traded lower by 15 paise or 0.12 per cent to Rs 120.05 per kg in 1,749 lots.

Analysts said that tepid demand from battery-makers and other consuming industries at the domestic spot market, mainly kept pressure on lead futures prices.
