Throwing a spanner to the proposed alliance of the Left and Congress in West Bengal Assembly election, CPI National Secretary Amarjeet Kaur on Sunday said there would be "no" such tie-up in the state.

"As of now, we'll not have any alliance with Congress in West Bengal and there is no possibility of having direct alliance with Congress in future too," Kaur told reporters here.

Kaur, however, said all those parties which wanted to uproot Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should take a call as which side they wanted to be.

Stating that there would be direct fight between TMC and Left Front in West Bengal, she claimed that ruling TMC's popularity graph had declined and people of West Bengal were angry with the excesses of the TMC government.

In Kerala too, there would be direct fight between Left Democratic Front and Congress-led United Democratic Front so there was no question of having any alliance with Congress in West Bengal, she said.
