Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has paid USD 95,000 to go on an expedition with Swedish explorer Johan Ernst Nilson in Mongolia.

The 41-year-old actor is set to test his wilderness skills in a real-life setting when he embarks on the 10-day journey to Lake Hovsgol, reported New York Post.

Nilson, who will lead the expedition, said, "When I do these trips. I take people out of their comfort zone in terms of the inner journey and get them doing things they normally wouldn't do. If you push your limits, the reward will be much higher. It's going to be amazing."

DiCaprio will leave the trappings of Hollywood behind as he sleeps in a yurt and goes hunting with falcons, although he will be accompanied by a chef on the trip.
