Leopard carcass found in Gondia district

Decomposed carcass of a male leopard was found under the Lakhandur forest range, a senior officer said today.

The carcass was spotted by forest guards during patrolling yesterday, said a forest official.

The postmortem was conducted today.

Assistant Conservator of Forest Manohar Gokhle said starvation could be the cause behind the death of the feline as all its body parts were found to be intact.
