Leopard strays into Hoshiarpur colony

The residents of the Canal colony noticed the animal in an abandoned plot of land and informed the police and forest officials.

The feline might have strayed into the colony from the nearby forest areas, Satnam Singh, District Forest Officer (Wild life) said.

A two members team of experts had been requisitioned from the Chhat Bir zoo at Pataiala to tranquilized the big cat, the DFO added.
