Singer Liam Gallagher has announced that his band Beady Eye have called it quits.

The band, fronted by Gallagher, was formed in 2009 featuring former Oasis members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock, reported Digital Spy.

Gallagher took to Twitter to share the bad news with his fans. He posted: "Beady Eye are no longer. Thanks for all your support. LGx"

Back in March, Beady Eye parted ways with their manager Scott Rodger from Quest Management.

Rodgers said in a statement: "Beady Eye are one of the last great British rock bands. It has been a pleasure to have worked with them on this album campaign."

Beady Eye released two albums: Different Gear, Still Speeding in 2011, followed by BE in 2013. Former Kasabian guitarist Jay Mehler joined the band that same year.

Last year, Noel Gallagher denied that Oasis would reunite this year to mark the 20th anniversary of the band's debut album Definitely Maybe.

Noel said, "It's not going to happen. Unless they're doing it without me, but without me it would be rubbish.
