A court in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh today sentenced two men to imprisonment till the rest of their lives in a rape case.
The court also imposed penalty of Rs 5 lakh each on M Ravi and K Srinivas, both auto-drivers, who were accused of raping a woman in her 20s on the outskirts of Kurnool city on July 17, 2013, district Superintendent of Police A Ravi Krishna told PTI over phone.
Ravi and Srinivas, who are facing other rape cases too, used to spot women travelling alone, offered them a ride in rickshaw, took them to isolated places and sexually assaulted them, the SP said.
The same thing had happened in the case of the 20-year-old woman, he added.
For Srinivas, this was a second conviction for rape, he said.
