Moderate to heavy rainfall lashed north Bihar today while light to moderate rainfall took place in most of the places in the southern part of the state, Met bulletin said.
The rains brought down the maximum temperature by two to five notches in some cities making the weather comfortable in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and other cities.
While Gaya recorded 34.8 mm rainfall, Bhagalpur received 0.5 mm rain and Patna and Purnea received trace rainfall, recorded between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, it said.

Purnea had recorded 28.4 mm of rainfall from 8:30 am on Monday to 8:30 am on Tuesday, the bulletin said.
In the corresponding period, it rained 21.2 mm in Gaya, 8.6 mm in Bhagalpur. Patna had received trace rainfall.
Humidity levels in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea hovered between 89 to 97 per cent in the morning. It was recorded at 83 to 94 per cent in the evening, the bulletin said.
Purnea recorded the highest maximum temperature at 33.4 degrees celsius, followed by 33.0 degrees in Bhagalpur, 30.6 in Patna and 28.5 in Gaya.
Gaya recorded five degrees below normal maximum temperature while Patna and Bhagalpur each recorded two degrees below normal, it said.
The Met department predicted more rainfall in the major cities tomorrow.
