Light to moderate rains today offered respite to people of Rajasthan as the mercury settled below the 40 degree-mark.
Duststorm was also reported from many areas, a MeT official said.
Jaipur was the hottest at 39.7 degree Celsius followed by Kota at 39.6 degree Celsius.
Jaisalmer, Barmer and Bikaner recorded day temperature of 38.5, 36.5 and 35.2 degree Celsius respectively.
Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm occurred at a few places in Jodhpur and Udaipur divisions and isolated places in rest of the state.
Dabok, Ajmer, Churu and Kota recorded 7.6, 2.6, 2.2 and 0.2 mm rains respectively till evening today.
Weather conditions would remain the same during next 24 hours, the official said.
