A 50-year-old farmer was killed after being struck by lightning amid unseasonal rain and hailstorm in the district, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday at village Shingave in which farmer Nivrutti Bhagwat was killed, an official at Niphad police station said.
Meanwhile, unseasonal rains and hailstorm today continued to lash parts of Nashik for the fourth consecutive day damaging various crops.
Officials in the district collectorate said that crops like onion, grapes, strawberry and pomegranates were damaged at several places.
