Lightning kills two farmers

Two farmers died when lightning struck them in separate incidents in Kendrapara district of Odisha, police said today.

The farmers were carrying out paddy transplantation work in their villages when the incidents took place yesterday, they said.

The deceased persons have been identified as Shankarshan Rout (35) native of Ghadiamala village and Parshuram Das (36) of Tannar village of the district.
