Lil Scrappy arrested over gas station fight

Rapper Lil Scrappy was arrested after an altercation at a gas station.

Cops were called to the fuel stop in Atlanta following reports the hip-hop star had attacked a man who allegedly insulted his girlfriend, reported TMZ online.

The pair was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, but were released shortly afterwards.

The Southern hip-hop star claimed he only acted on self-defense.

"He was calling my girlfriend names and then put his hands on me ... So I had to lay them paws on him," he said of what prompted the fight.
