The 14-year-old lioness, Lily, who was brought to Van Vihar after being rescued from a circus in Jaipur in 2006, died yesterday, they said.
The autopsy report has said that the big cat died of snake bite.
After the death of the feline, the lion population in the park is reduced to 10, officials said.
