Liquor literally flowed on a road here after a truck ladden with Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) bottles overturned near Sulur on the city outskirts today.
The truck, transporting liquor bottles from the godown of a manufacturer in Narasimhapalayam here, was proceeding to Chennai, when its driver lost control and the vehicle hit an electric post before overturning, police said.
Under the impact, the bottles containing the liquor got damaged and liquor spilled onto the road.
The driver was injured in the mishap and had been hospitalised after being rescued by the public, they said adding the loss was being estimated.
