Liquor seized in Patna district

The Patna Police have seized 120 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor and 396 litres of spiced domestic drink today from different police stations areas of the district.

Seizure of alcohol followed strict warning served by Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj to officer in-charge of police stations that action would be taken against them in case of any lacunae regarding liquor manufacture and sell in their areas.

Giving details of the seizure, a statement from the SSP's office said 120 bottles of IMFL was seized from various police station areas.

Besides, 396 litres of spiced liquor, 650 pouches of domestic liquor and 50 packets of ganja were seized in the intensified campaign in favour of prohibition, it said.
 

Maximum 60 bottles of IMFL was seized from Masaurhi police station areas in rural Patna, while ten bottles were recovered from Kotwali police station areas of the town, the statement said.

A total of 120 litre of spiced domestic liquor was seized from Bihta police station area in the operation.

The SSP said intensified campaign against liquor would continue in future.
