Live cartridges recovered in Jaisalmer

Police today recovered 220 live cartridges which were hidden under a tree in Jaisalmer.

Following information by locals, police recovered the cartridges in Badoda village, nearly 40 km from the Jaisalmer district headquarters yesterday.

"It is not clear who hid the cartridges of 9 mm pistol. They have been sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for testing," Superintendent of Police Rajiv Pachar said.

The matter is under investigation, he added.
