Local BJP leader electrocuted in UP

A local BJP leader Murli Manohar Kuda was electrocuted here today, police said.

The 45-year-old leader, who was a former media incharge of BJP in Vraj region, was electrocuted this afternoon on the roof of a cement shop in Goverdhan area, they said.

The accident occurred when Kuda, along with the shopkeeper, went to the roof of the shop where he came in contact with a high tension electric wire and died on the spot.

Leaders cutting across party lines and his supporters condoled his death.

He is survived by his wife, a 15-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son.
